As an EyeCare Virtual Assistant on the reception track, you are the voice of a U.S. eye care practice. You answer the phones, book and confirm appointments, and keep the schedule full. You work with one practice as their dedicated receptionist, so patients come to know you.
EyeCareWorks is a U.S. based placement company, not the practice itself. If you pass screening and interviews, you complete our free eye care training (60+ hours) and earn the EyeCareWorks Virtual Assistant Certificate. We then match you with one U.S. practice. Placement depends on practice demand, so we cannot promise a start date. Paid hours begin on your first day with the practice, at $7.00 USD per hour, paid per tracked hour. You work as an independent contractor and register with the BIR once you qualify, using your own computer and internet connection. There are no application fees, placement fees or training costs at any stage.
Our assistants come from healthcare backgrounds such as nursing, allied health, medical reception, billing, pharmacy, medical technology and scribing. You do not need eye care experience. Eye care is taught in training, which covers optometry and ophthalmology workflows and the practice software you will use.
